Find out which label type is ideal for your application

There are numerous types of labels on the market and among so many options it is normal that you may feel confused about which is the ideal type for your application.

That's why in this article we want to talk to you about the factors you should take into consideration when choosing the best label for your project.


What information do I need to know to choose the right label?

Some factors you should analyze to choose the ideal type for you are:

A) Dimensions.

  • Width and length of the label.
  • Measures expressed in millimeters for greater accuracy.

B) Surface where it will be placed

If it is going to be placed on:

  • Cardboard boxes: Cereals, flours, cookies, etc.
  • Glass bottles: Soft drinks, perfumes, juices, etc.
  • Plastic containers: Yogurts, edible creams, dressings, etc.
  • Wood: Furniture, kitchen utensils, decorative items, etc.

C) Environmental conditions where it is going to be applied

If it is going to be an air-conditioned place, with refrigeration, humidity, constant temperature changes or presence of chemical substances.

D) Colors

If it will be with color selection or direct pantones.

E) Type of material

  • Whether it will be on paper or film.
  • If it will be white, transparent or metallized labels.

F) Adhesive

If it will be with hotmelt, acrylic or some other type of adhesive.

G) Image

Provide an editable file to the supplier to work on the image in case size or color adjustments are required.

H) Finishing

  • Laminated or varnished.
  • Glossy, matte or combined.


I) Order quantity

  • Flexographic printing for medium and long runs.
  • Digital printing for medium and short runs.
